Raymond Stanley Samuel of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Philadelphia, PA died Wednesday, November 18, 2009. He was 71.Born in Philadelphia, Ray was a graduate of Mastbaum H.S., Class of 1956. He attended Temple University. He was an engineer for AT & T for 43 years. His passions were his wife, his family, and his church. Ray is survived by his wife of 52 years, May Helen. He is the father of Deborah (Gene) Timpano, Denise Mika, and Raymond (Billie Jo) Samuel. He is the grandfather of Eugene, Rachel, Christopher, Jennifer, Michael, Jonathan, Savannah, Raymond, and Evan. He is the great grandfather of Isabella. He is the brother of Rae Giamboy, Marion Rettershoffer, William Samuel, Henry Samuel, Stanley Samuel, and the late Alma Burke. He is the brother-in-law of Robert (Dorothy) Love. A viewing will be Sunday evening, 6-8 PM and Monday morning 9-10 AM at the Lechner Funeral Home, 24 N. Main St., Medford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10:30 AM at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, 40 Jaackson Rd., Medford. Burial is in Oakland Cemetery, Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MDS Foundation, PO Box 353, Crosswicks, NJ 08515.
