John B. Wright of Tabernacle, NJ passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009. He was 73. He was born in Olney, IL on April 15, 1936 and lived in Florida before residing in New Jersey. John was a teacher, principal, AVA Director and Superintendent before he became School Business Administrator for the State Department of Education. John's greatest love was to serve God. He was an elder for the Church of Christ in Tabernacle. Another great passion of John's was to farm. He found great joy in sharing his produce. John is survived by his wife Ruth, daughter Cindy (Van) Bates and his son, Andy (Jean) Wright. He was the grandfather to five precious grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Justin, Erin, and Lindsay. He also left behind his sister Mary Williamson and brother Jim Wright. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 21st at 10 AM at the Church of Christ, 160 Carranza Rd., Tabernacle. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening, 7-9 PM and Wednesday morning from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment is in Jr. Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tabernacle Church of Christ, Venezuela Mission Fund, or the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Arrangements are by Lechner Funeral Home, Medford.
